Post subject:  CoIDE V2 Repository

First, I am so glad you guys are actively developing the CoIDE, it is so nice to have a free no limits ARM IDE that is constantly working on improving. -------------- Having a few problems though. --- - When trying to create a new project virtually ALL the mainstream STM32F (F1, F2.... F103 being the most used ST ARM device...) devices are not showing in the repo (everything is there in 1.7.7, except the F429/F439, which says is now supported, but don't show up.) --------------------- - The Device choosing UI in 1.7.7 (Under Configuration->Device) was a very clean, tree structure interface. ![enter image description here][1] Now its this big fat clunky unorganized (web driven) UI?? (which is now just called Repository...???) ![enter image description here][2] Why the big step backwards?? The nice clean tree structure is substantially better, I don't think you will find even 1 person to disagree. ----------------- - The repos and example code now just links to the gitHub-ish website?? or am I missing it? ----------------- I bring this all up because.... I was making good headway toward convincing my company to move to your software as well (instead of paying stupid amounts for the ARM Keil). Except by the time my CTO got around to downloading COIDE the v2 link was the main download link... He pretty much laughed in my face because of how clunky it was, and all of the cleanliness I had talked to him about, he couldn't find. If there is something I'm missing, or something that has just been moved to somewhere harder to find.. please let me know. Hello, jbagel2 Thanks for your feedback, it's really helpful for us. CoIDE 2.0.1 will be released this week, which will support those ST chips supported by CoIDE 1.7.7 and modify some bug. In the next version, we will support the function of search chip and add to favorite. Then you can add your frequently-used chip to favorite and select them quickly. How do you think of this function? Could you please give us your opinion and advice? Thanks for your support!

A little off topic ... but (to the CooCox development team) T h a n k y o u ! You have made it easy to get started. I was able to get something blinking quickly the first try. Good feeling. Wish I would have found you earlier.

Please add ability to create projects offline, without Internet connection. Now this is impossible. Thanks

Hi! Where can I download STM32 Standart Peripheral Library? Do I now must to download it from ST site and include to the project manually?

Good afternoon, a little disappointed interface when creating a new project. And this idea of downloading components from the cloud is not convenient. The latest version of Keil uVision 5 so too did that was the main reason in choosing CoIDE.

I found "0" peripherial demo files for nuvoton M0516LBN. When this micro will be supported?

I have been teaching College students ARM with STM32F4Discovery boards on Coocox over this last year. I found V1.7.7 has a clean interface and is easy to use. Currently I find V2 unusable and a massive step backwards. I know it is Beta, but I currently can't get a blink light example to compile. Selecting any components results in a very lengthy delay before the program responds. Here is hoping things get better. I have been a Coocox fan.
